NFL: Tampa Bay 31, New Orleans 14

TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Quarterback Jeff Garcia threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns as Tampa Bay downed New Orleans 31-14 Sunday in a divisional match.

Garcia completed 10 of 16, with Joey Galloway catching four for 135 yards and two touchdowns for the Buccaneers (1-1) -- who looked like a different team after their season-opening 20-6 whipping at Seattle.

Cadillac Williams, questionable for the game with bruised ribs, rushed for 61 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 24 carries for Tampa Bay. Defensively, linebacker Barrett Ruud had another huge game, with 11 tackles, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

Drew Brees had 260 yards passing, completing 26 of 44 with one touchdown and one interception for New Orleans (0-2), which has lost both games so far this season.
