MLB: Tampa Bay 9, Seattle 2

SEATTLE, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Andy Sonnanstine went seven innings and Delmon Young had four RBI Sunday afternoon, to lift the Tampa Bay Devil Rays over the fading Seattle Mariners, 9-2.

Carl Crawford added two RBI for Tampa Bay, which has won two in a row since a four-run slide.

Sonnanstine (6-9) gave up just one run on six hits with eight strikeouts.

Jarrod Washburn (9-15) gave up three runs over 4 1/3 innings for the Mariners, who have dropped two in a row and re six back of the New York Yankees in the AL wild-card chase.
