NFL: Minnesota 23, Dallas 14

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Brooks Bollinger completed nine of 15 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown Thursday night as the Minnesota Vikings beat Dallas, 23-14, in their exhibition closer.

Tarvaris Jackson, expected to open the season as the Vikings' starting quarterback, could complete only one of five passes for 13 yards. Ryan Longwell was good on all three of his field goal attempts for Minnesota (2-2) , which will be at home against Atlanta in its season opener.

Third-team quarterback Matt Moore played most of the game for Dallas and was 14 of 19 for 94 yards. Starter Tony Romo did not play.

The Cowboys (2-2) will be at home against the New York Giants in the first Sunday night game of the regular season.

One of the Cowboys' touchdowns came on a 95-yard punt return by Jerheme Urban in the first period.
