
DENVER, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Brady Quinn went 7-for-11 for 81 yards and a go-ahead TD pass Saturday night, as the Cleveland Browns beat Denver, 17-16, in an NFL exhibition game.
Quinn found Joshua Cribbs with a 20-yard TD pass with 1:26 to go in the third quarter to put the Browns (2-1) up, 17-10. It was the former Notre Dame star’s third touchdown pass of the preseason.
Denver (2-1) scored on a nine-yard TD run by Selvin Young with just over three minutes left to play, but failed on a two-point conversion attempt.
Jamal Lewis picked up 46 yards on 15 rushes for Cleveland, and scored the game's first touchdown on a one-yard plunge in the first quarter.
Denver's Jay Cutler went 9-for-16 for 115 yards and a two-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Johnson.
Young picked up 91 yards on 17 carries, and Cecil Sapp rushed for 54 yards on 11 carries.
