MLB: Houston 6, Milwaukee 4

HOUSTON, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Eric Bruntlett hit a key two-run single in the bottom of the eighth Sunday afternoon as the Houston Astros beat Milwaukee, 6-4.

Houston scored four times in the inning, with Lance Berkman hitting a solo homer and Brad Ausmus adding an RBI double.

Ty Wigginton and Craig Biggio also hit solo homers, and both Berkman and Wigginton had two hits for the Astros, who had lost two in a row.

The winner was Mark McLemore (2-0).

Brad Lidge recorded his eighth save this season.

Milwaukee's Geoff Jenkins blasted two solo homers. J.J. Hardy had two hits, one a solo shot in the ninth, while Ryan Braun also had two hits for the Brewers, who have dropped six of 10 overall.

The loser was Carlos Villanueva (6-3).

Milwaukee’s Prince Fielder was ejected by home plate umpire Wally Bell after arguing a called third strike that ended the eighth inning.
