MLB: Chi. Cubs 7, Houston 6

CHICAGO, July 15 (UPI) -- Derek Lee hit a three-run homer Sunday afternoon to help the Chicago Cubs edge the Houston Astros, 7-6, and complete a three-game sweep.

Lee's seventh homer this season was part of a six-run bottom of the second inning. Chicago's Angel Pagan hit a two-run homer in the second, his fourth of the season.

Ryan Theriot hit a solo shot in the fourth. Geovany Soto knocked in a run, Lee had three hits, while Pagan and Theriot both had two hits for the Cubs, who have won four of five.

The winner was Michael Wuertz (2-2).

Bob Howry earned his fifth save.

Houston's Lance Berkman had two hits and three RBI. Mike Lamb hit his eighth homer, a solo homer in the third, and Luke Scott and Brad Ausmus had one RBI each.

Lamb had three hits, while Ausmus had two hits for the Astros, who have dropped four of five.

The loser was Wandy Rodriguez (6-8).
