MLB: Minnesota 6, Oakland 2

MINNEAPOLIS, July 12 (UPI) -- Michael Cuddyer had four hits and Torii Hunter drove in two runs Thursday night, giving the Minnesota Twins a 6-2 victory over Oakland.

Minnesota relievers threw three scoreless innings after starter Scott Baker (6-2) allowed two runs and five hits over six.

The Twins handed Oakland its fourth straight loss.

Cuddyer singled in the game's first run as part of a two-run opening inning. He tripled in the seventh, and then scored the Twins' final run when Hunter grounded into a double play.

Chad Gaudin (8-4) took the loss, allowing five runs on six hits in four innings.
