BOSTON, June 13 (UPI) --
Four RBI from Todd Helton
and a three-run homer by Brad Hawpe
Wednesday carried Colorado to a 12-2 rout of Boston.
The Rockies produced 14 hits in winning for the third time in four games.
Josh Fogg (2-5) benefited from the onslaught, giving up seven hits and two runs in five innings. The loss went to Curt Schilling (6-3), who was roughed up for nine hits and six runs in five innings.
The Rockies owned only a 3-2 lead going into the fifth, but Hawpe hit his home run after Kaz Matsui and Matt Holliday singled to open the inning.
Helton contributed a three-run double in the sixth to give Colorado a 9-2 advantage.
