MLS: FC Dallas 2, Real Salt Lake 1

FRISCO, Texas, May 20 (UPI) -- Chris Gbandi scored in the 82nd minute Sunday as FC Dallas topped Real Salt Lake 2-1 in a Major League Soccer contest.

Arturo Alvarez give the Hoops a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute, but RSL's Freddy Adu tied the contest 1-1 by converting a penalty kick midway through the second half.

Goalkeeper Dario Sala made four saves for FC Dallas (5-3-1), which leads the Western Conference by four points over Colorado.

RSL (0-3-4) is winless after eight games and remains last in the West with only four points.

FC Dallas next plays at Chivas USA on May 26, while RSL is at Chicago on May 27.
