Bengals' Chris Henry fails drug test

CINCINNATI, May 21 (UPI) -- The Cincinnati Enquirer quoted a prosecutor saying initial results showed that Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry failed a court-ordered drug test.

However, Henry's agent, Marvin Frazier, told the newspaper that report was false and the test was negative.

Any possible punishment for the player was not released but Henry was previously suspended for eight games by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for incidents that occurred during the off season, said the Enquirer.

Kenton Country prosecutor Gary Edmondson said that the test was part of Henry's Florida probation agreement for his conviction on weapons related charges in 2006.

The team issued a statement saying the original report "may not be base on complete information."
