MLB: Houston 10, Milwaukee 1

HOUSTON, April 28 (UPI) -- Chris Sampson and two relievers combined on an eight-hitter Saturday night as the Houston Astros routed Milwaukee, 10-1.

Craig Biggio had two runs, one hit and three RBI; Lance Berkman had three hits and two RBI; Adam Everett had two runs, two hits and two RBI; Mark Loretta had one run, two hits and two RBI; and Brad Ausmus had a run and two hits for the Astros -- who scored nine times in the middle innings to break a seven-game losing streak.

Sampson (3-1) yielded one earned run and five hits in 6 1/3 innings, with two walks and eight strikeouts.

Brad Lidge and Trever Miller hurled 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief.

Milwaukee got its only run on an RBI single by Geoff Jenkins in the top of the fourth. Bill Hall and Rickie Weeks had two hits apiece for the Brewers.

Loser Dave Bush (2-2) surrendered eight runs -- seven earned -- in 5 1/3 innings.
