MLB: Chi. Cubs 8, St. Louis 1

ST. LOUIS, April 28 (UPI) -- Jacque Jones had three hits and four RBI Saturday as the Chicago Cubs trounced St. Louis 8-1.

His three-run triple was part of a seven-run fifth inning.

Ryan Theriot, Derrek Lee, Cliff Floyd and Henry Blanco each had one RBI for Chicago. Lee also scored two runs, while Mark DeRosa had two hits and scored once for the Cubs, who have won three in a row.

Winner Carlos Zambrano (2-2) scattered an earned run and seven hits over seven innings with no walks and two strikeouts.

Albert Pujols hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh for the lone run for St. Louis.

Adam Kennedy and Jim Edmonds had two hits each for the Cardinals, who have lost three of five overall.

Losing pitcher Adam Wainwright (1-2) gave up six earned runs and seven hits in 4 1/3 innings.
