Pedro Feliz hit a solo homer in the bottom of the third and had two of the four hits for the Giants, who have bounced back from a slow start with a five-game winning streak.

Winner Matt Cain (1-1) pitched a complete-game three-hitter, with four walks and four strikeouts.

Arizona's only run scored on a double-play groundout by Orlando Hudson in the top of the ninth.

Loser Yusmeiro Petit (0-1), making his second major league start, surrendered two earned runs and four hits in seven innings, with no walks and five strikeouts.

Petit is the 438th major league pitcher to yield a home run to Bonds, who is 15 shy of tying Hank Aaron for the all-time major league home run lead at 755.
