SAN DIEGO, April 19 (UPI) -- Rob Bowen drove in three runs Thursday afternoon to help the San Diego Padres beat the Arizona Diamondbacks, 11-6.
One of Bowen's three hits was a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh.
Khalil Greene also hit a solo homer and had two runs and two hits. Starter and winner Jake Peavy hit a two-run triple and finished with one run with two hits, while Bowen scored three times for the Padres, who have split their last four games.
Peavy (3-0) was touched for 10 hits and five earned runs in 5 1/3 innings, with two walks and eight strikeouts.
Chris B. Young had three runs, three hits -- including a solo homer -- and one RBI. Orlando Hudson hit a two-run single, and a run scored on Bowen's throwing error for the Diamondbacks, who have lost three of four.
Loser Livan Hernandez (1-1) gave up seven earned runs and eight hits in five innings.
