DETROIT, April 15 (UPI) -- Dominik Hasek stopped 14 of 15 shots Sunday as Detroit beat Calgary 3-1 for a 2-0 lead in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.

The normally defense-minded Red Wings took a 2-0 lead after the first period on an unassisted goal by Pavel Datsyuk and a power-play goal by Nicklas Lidstromm. Datsyuk ended a 26-game postseason scoring drought.
