NHL: Ottawa 5, N.Y. Islanders 2

UNIONDALE, N.Y., March 31 (UPI) -- Mike Comrie scored two goals Saturday night to lead the Ottawa Senators past the New York Islanders, 5-2.

His second goal, just 47 seconds into the third period, was the eventual game-winner.

Christoph Schubert, Dean McAmmond and Dany Heatley scored, Peter Schaefer had two assists, and Martin Gerber stopped 21 of 23 shots for the Senators, who have reached the 100-point plateau for the fourth straight season and the sixth time in eight years.

Viktor Kozlov and Marc-Andre Bergeron scored, Alexei Yashin and Tom Poti both had two assists, and Wade Dubielewicz was beaten four times on 46 shots for the Islanders, who lost to Ottawa for the eighth straight time and remained 10th in the Eastern Conference playoff chase.
