FRISCO, Texas, March 16 (UPI) -- Dallas Stars captain Brenden Morrow, who missed 33 games with a wrist injury, has been activated off the injured reserve list, the NHL team said Friday.
Morrow has been out since Dec. 26 when he was stepped on with a skate. He needed surgery on his right wrist to repair severed tendons.

Morrow, who has spent his entire NHL career with Dallas, was made team captain before this season. In 27 games before he was injured, he had 10 goals and 10 assists.
He has 130 goals and 159 assists over his 479-game career. Last season he set career marks with 42 assists and 65 points.
