NHL: Minnesota 3, Vancouver 2

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 14 (UPI) -- Brent Burns scored the game-winning goal with 35.8 seconds remaining in overtime as Minnesota rallied to beat Vancouver, 3-2, Tuesday.

Minnesota had to erase a two-point deficit.

This was the second straight game in which Burns netted the game-winner in OT. Sunday, Burns scored with only 18.9 seconds left to give the Wild a 3-2 win over Colorado.

Mikko Koivu and Brian Rolston also scored for the Wild, who have won four in a row and moved within one point of the Canucks, who lead the Northwest Division.

Netminder Niklas Backstrom turned aside 22 of the 24 shots.

Jan Bulis and Matt Cooke had goals for the Canucks; Jeff Cowan notched two assists, while Roberto Luongo made 26 saves in defeat.

Trailing 2-0 after one period, Minnesota controlled the rest of the game with three unanswered scores.
