NBA: Milwaukee 110, L.A. Lakers 90

MILWAUKEE, March 8 (UPI) -- Charlie Villanueva scored a season-high 26 points Wednesday night to guide Milwaukee past the Los Angeles Lakers, 110-90.

Milwaukee capitalized on the absence of Lakers' star Kobe Bryant, who was serving a one-game suspension for throwing an elbow to the head of Minnesota's Marko Jaric on Tuesday night.

The Bucks held a 50-44 lead at the break, and built their advantage to as many as 17 points in the fourth quarter.

Andrew Bogut had 22 points, six rebounds, and five assists; Charlie Bell had 20 points and four rebounds; Ruben Patterson scored 13 points; while Michael Redd and Mo Williams scored 10 points apiece for the Bucks, who had dropped their previous two games.

Maurice Evans had a team-high 22 points, two assists, and two steals to lead Los Angeles.

Brian Cook had 20 points and five rebounds; and Kwame Brown added 13 points and six rebounds for the Lakers, who lost for the fourth straight time.
