NHL: Florida 7, Boston 2

SUNRISE, Fla., Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Chris Gratton led an offensive onslaught with two goals and an assist Saturday night as the Florida Panthers ended Boston's four-game winning streak, 7-2.

The Panthers had lost their two previous games, but they got to Boston goaltender Tim Thomas for three goals in 19 shots during the first period.

Stephen Weiss had a goal and two assists and Ed Belfour made 25 saves for the Panthers.

Thomas was removed after one period, but backup Hannu Toivonen surrendered four goals on 33 shots.

Florida built a 5-0 lead before the Bruins scored twice in a 48-second span of the second period.
