Zetterberg tops NHL's weekly honors

NEW YORK, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Detroit's Henrik Zetterberg, who scored five goals last week, was named one of three NHL players of the week.

The NHL also honored Chicago's Martin Havlat and Dallas's Mike Smith for their play last week.

Zetterberg led the NHL with nine points -- five goals and four assists -- as the Red Wings went 3-1 last week. He had game-winning goals against the New York Rangers and Phoenix and added two goals and two assists in a win over Calgary.

Havlat, another left wing, was right behind with five goals and three assists in the Blackhawks' 3-1 week. He had a pair of goals against Calgary chipped in a goal and two assists in a game with Columbus.

Smith, a goaltender, was 3-0 with a 0.85 goals against average for the week and posted a career-best shutout streak of more than 131 minutes.
