NHL: Phoenix 3, Nashville 2

PHOENIX, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Yanic Perreault scored the game-winner Thursday night with his 18th goal of the season, as the Phoenix Coyotes beat Nashville, 3-2.

Jeremy Roenick had a goal and an assist, Shane Dolan scored a goal and Curtis Joseph finished with 28 saves for the Coyotes, who won for the third time in five games.

Steve Sullivan had a goal and an assist, and Jason Arnott and Thomas Vokoun allowed three goals on 31 shots for the Predators, who lost their second straight game following a four-game winning streak.

The game was tied, 2-2, late in the third period when Perreault reached down to redirect a shot by Nick Boynton and push it into the net with 5:29 left to play.

The Predators opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal at 3:54 of the first period, Scott Hartnell feeding Sullivan just outside the crease. Roenick got the equalizer at 11:16, picking up a weak clear by Nashville and firing the puck past Joseph.
