NBA: Utah 116, Denver 111

SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Utah stifled a late surge Friday night and beat the Denver Nuggets, 116-111.

Carlos Boozer led the Jazz with 25 points and 19 rebounds.

Deron Williams had 16 points and 12 assists; Mehmet Okur had 14 points and five rebounds; Gordan Giricek scored 13 points; while reserve Ronnie Brewer added 12 points and four rebounds for the Jazz, who have won five times in their last six games.

Carmelo Anthony led Denver with 37 points and six rebounds.

Allen Iverson had 33 points and six assists; and Marcus Camby had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Nuggets, who had a four-game winning streak snapped.

Iverson scored five straight points to give Denver a 111-110 lead with 45.4 seconds left, but Boozer and Williams scored the game's final six points for the Jazz, who lost Andrei Kirilenko to a sprained ankle in the second quarter.
