NBA: Washington 113, Chicago 103

WASHINGTON, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Caron Butler and Gilbert Arenas contributed to a 12-point, fourth-quarter run Wednesday night that carried the Washington Wizards past Chicago, 113-103.

The Wizards overcame a slow start to win their seventh straight home game and their eighth in 10 games overall.

Butler scored 26 points, Arenas had 20 and Antawn Jamison 18.

Chicago was led by Kirk Hinrich with 33 points.

The Bulls took an early 11-2 lead before the Wizards warmed up from the field. Washington owned as much as a 15-point lead in the second period before Chicago closed to within three at the half.

The game stayed close from that point until the 12-point surge gave the Wizards a 14-point cushion with 4:29 remaining.
