Singh, Scott scramble golf rankings

PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Vijay Singh and Adam Scott, the top two finishers in 2007's PGA opening event, made Top 5 moves in the men's world golf rankings.

Singh, who won the event at Kapalua, Hawaii, by two strokes over Scott and moved to No. 5 in the world. Scott traded places with Phil Mickelson and is the new No. 3 with Mickelson between Scott and Singh.

The top of the list remained the same with Tigers Woods well in front of the field for No. 1. He doesn't start his 2007 season for a few weeks yet. The No. 2 spot belongs to Jim Furyk.

Ernie Els was knocked out of the Top 5 by Singh and is No. 6 followed by Padraig Harrington, Retief Goosen, Geoff Ogilvy and Luke Donald.
