MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Kevin Garnett scored 26 points and Mike James made a key lay-up in overtime Sunday as the Minnesota Timberwolves slowed down Houston, 103-99.

Houston had a five-game winning streak halted as it tries to stay competitive without the injured Yao Ming (broken leg). Minnesota has won four straight.
