COL BKB: Clemson 75, Georgia Tech 74

CLEMSON, S.C., Jan. 6 (UPI) -- James Mays scored with four seconds left Saturday as the unbeaten, 18th-ranked Clemson Tigers beat the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 75-74.

The Tigers (16-0, 2-0) are the only undefeated team in Division I basketball, as 17th-ranked Oregon posted a 68-66 victory over No. 1 and previously-unbeaten UCLA earlier Saturday.

K.C. Rivers scored 20 points, Cliff Hammonds 17 points and Mays 16 points and seven rebounds for Clemson.

Javaris Crittenton scored 22 points for Georgia Tech (11-4, 0-2), which had a five-game winning streak stopped. Thaddeus Young added 15 points and Ra'Sean Dickey 12 points and seven rebounds.

Georgia Tech had a 34-29 lead at halftime and the lead changed a total of 11 times in the game with seven ties.
