NHL: Calgary 5, Los Angeles 3

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Jamie McLennan turned back 27 shots and three Calgary players each had a goal and an assist Tuesday as the Flames beat the Los Angeles Kings, 5-3.

The victory gave the Flames 37 points and sole possession of first place in the National Hockey League Northwest Division, one point ahead of Minnesota, Edmonton and Colorado.

Kristian Huselius, Daymond Langkow and Tony Amonte each had a goal and an assist for Calgary, which improved to 2-2 on its six-game road trip.

Anze Kopitar had two goals for Los Angeles who slipped to 3-4-1 in December. Dan Cloutier saved 26 shots in the Kings' loss at the Staples Center.
