NHL: Phoenix 7, Los Angeles 4

GLENDALE, Ariz., Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Michael Zigomanis had two goals and an assist, and four different Phoenix players scored first-period goals Thursday night as the Coyotes beat the Kings, 7-4.

Ladislav Nagy and Zbynek Michalek each had a goal and two assists for Phoenix. Shane Doan, Oleg Saprykin and Patrick Fischer also scored, and Curtis Joseph yielded four goals on 35 shots for the Coyotes, who won for the third time in four games.

Derek Armstrong scored twice, while Mike Cammalleri and Craig Conroy each scored a goal for Los Angeles. Dan Cloutier was pulled from goal in the first period after giving up three goals on five shots, and Barry Brust made 24 saves the rest of the way, as the Kings lost for the first time in their last three games.

The teams scored five goals before the game was nine minutes old.

Phoenix went 1-for-2 on the power play, while the Kings scored on both their power-play chances.
