NHL: Pittsburgh 3, N.Y. Islanders 2

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Sidney Crosby returned to the lineup for Pittsburgh and had two assists Tuesday as the Penguins defeated the New York Islanders, 3-2.

Crosby, who missed the last three games with a groin injury, assisted on both goals by Colby Armstrong for the Penguins, who ended a three-game losing streak.

Chris Thorburn scored the game-winning goal early in the third period. Marc-Andre Fleury made 33 saves for Pittsburgh.

Viktor Kozlov and Arron Asham scored for the Islanders, who were looking to win their fourth straight game.

Rick DiPietro allowed three goals on 28 shots in the loss for New York, which played its first game without center Alexei Yashin, who will miss up to four weeks with a sprained knee.
