NHL: Chicago 4, Anaheim 3 (SO)

ANAHEIM, Calif., Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Tuomo Ruutu's goal in the third shootout round gave the visiting Chicago Blackhawks a 4-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center.

Ruutu also scored once in regulation and both Duncan Keith and Mikael Holmqvist recorded a pair of assists Friday night for Chicago, which has won three of its last four outings.

Nikolai Khabibulin turned in his finest performance of the season in his first start since Oct. 21, stopping 42 shots in regulation and all three in the shootout.

Scott Niedermayer tied a career-high with three assists, Teemu Selanne notched a goal and a helper and Chris Kunitz scored his team-leading tenth goal for Anaheim, which has lost three of four games.

Ilya Bryzgalov made only 21 saves in a losing cause.
