NHL: Nashville 4, Minnesota 3

ST. PAUL, Minn., Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Shea Weber scored the game-winning goal Saturday night as Nashville beat the Minnesota Wild, 4-3.

The contest was tied, 3-3, heading into the final period, when Weber's goal gave Nashville its winning margin.

Steve Sullivan, Kimmo Timonen and Paul Kariya scored the other goals. Sullivan also had one assist, and Tomas Vokoun made 25 saves on 28 shots for the Predators, who have won five in a row and are 9


1 in their last 10 games.

Petteri Nummelin and Pavol Demitra each had a goal and an assist. Mark Parrish scored on the power play to tie the game at 3-3 in the second period, Mikko Koivu had two assists, and Manny Fernandez made 17 saves on 21 shots for the Wild, who dropped a home game for the first time in nine contests.

On the power play, Nashville was 1-for-3, and Minnesota went 1-for-5.
