NHL: Toronto 4, Columbus 2

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Bryan McCabe, Kyle Wellwood, Michael Peca and Johnny Pohl scored goals Friday night to help Toronto beat the Columbus Blue Jackets, 4-2.

McCabe and Wellwood each added one assist and goaltender Andrew Raycroft made 23 saves on 25 shots for the Maple Leafs (4-2-2).

Toronto, which never trailed, is second to Buffalo in the Northeast Conference with 10 points.

Manny Malhotra and Alexander Svitov scored goals and goalie Pascal Leclaire gave up four goals on 27 shots for the Blue Jackets (2-2-1), who have five points, good for fourth in the Central Conference.

On the power play, Toronto was 1-for-4 -- with Wellwood's goal in the second period -- and Columbus was 0-for-7.
