NFL: Indianapolis 43, Houston 24

INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Peyton Manning completed 26-of-38 passes for 400 yards and three touchdowns Sunday to lead the Indianapolis Colts to a 43-24 win over the Houston Texans.

The victory enabled Indianapolis (2-0) remain a perfect 9-0 against Houston in the all-time series.

Manning, who completed passes to nine different receivers, broke Johnny Unitas' franchise record of 2,796 career completions after a touchdown pass to Joseph Addai in the first quarter. Unitas set the previous mark in 206 games while it took Manning just 130 games to set the record.

Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison topped Art Monk for fifth place on the NFL's receptions list, after catching seven passes for 127 yards.

Reggie Wayne caught six passes for 135 yards for Indianapolis, which had 515 yards of total offense.

David Carr was 22-of-26 for 219 yards and threw three touchdowns for the Texans (0-2).
