MLB: San Francisco 5, San Diego 4 (11)

SAN FRANSCISCO, Calif., Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Ray Durham scored on a fielder's choice ground ball by Mark Sweeney in the bottom of the 11th inning Saturday afternoon as San Francisco edged San Diego, 5-4.

Durham had two runs and two hits, and Barry Bonds hit his 731st career home run, a two-run blast in the bottom of the first inning. Moises Alou and Todd Greene both hit RBI singles, and Shea Hillenbrand had two runs and three hits for the Giants (72-70), who have a three-game winning streak and have won five of their last six games.

In relief, the winner was Mike Stanton (6-6).

Tremmel Sledge hit a two-run homer, Brian Giles hit a solo homer, Todd Walker hit a run-scoring single, and Geoff Blum had two hits for the Padres (73-68), who have dropped two in a row after a five-game winning streak.

The losing pitcher was Rudy Seanez (1-1).
