NFL: Miami 29, St. Louis 9

MIAMI, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- Olindo Mare kicked five field goals Thursday night as the Dolphins beat St. Louis, 29-9, in an NFL pre-season game at Miami.

Cleo Lemon completed 21 of his 28 passes for 271 yards and one touchdown; Joey Harrington was 5-of-8 for 46 yards; Gerald Riggs gained 41 yards on 14 rushing attempts; Derek Hagan had five catches for 64 yards; and Marcus Vick caught a 5-yard scoring pass from Lemon for the Dolphins, who were 2-2 in the pre-season.

Ryan Fitzpatrick was 7-of-14 for 94 yards; Tony Fisher gained 33 yards on nine carries and caught two passes for 31 yards for the Rams (1-3).

In the first week of the regular season, Miami is at Pittsburgh on Sept. 7; and on Sept. 10, St. Louis is at home against Denver.
