ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 24 (UPI) -- David Ortiz and Wily Mo Pena hit two-run homers Wednesday night as the Boston Red Sox beat the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, 5-4.

Coco Crisp had one RBI and one run scored for the Red Sox, who broke a season-high six-game losing streak.

Boston starter Jon Lester (7-2) gave up three runs on six hits over five innings.

Juan Rivera had two RBI and Orlando Cabrera had three hits and scored twice for the Angels, who had a five-game winning streak snapped.

Angels starter Kelvim Escobar (9-11) took the loss, giving up five runs -- all in the first two innings -- even though he limited the Red Sox to six hits over eight innings.
