ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Carl Crawford capped a three-run ninth inning Friday night with a two-run single as Tampa Bay beat the Cleveland Indians, 6-5.

Travis Lee hit a solo home run; Johnny Gomes had two hits and one RBI; Lee had two runs and two hits; Crawford had had two hits and two RBI; and Rocco Baldelli had two runs and two hits for the Devil Rays (49-73), who have split their last four games.

In relief, the winner was Seth McClung (4-11).

Andy Marte and Travis Hafner hit solo homers; Hafner had two hits and three RBI; Marte had three runs and three hits; and Grady Sizemore hit an RBI double for the Indians (54-67), who have lost three of their last four games.

The losing pitcher was reliever Brian Sikorski (2-2).
