MLS: New England 1, FC Dallas 0

FOXBORO, Mass., June 29 (UPI) -- Taylor Twellman scored the lone goal in the 23rd minute Wednesday night as the New England Revolution beat FC Dallas, 1-0.

The Revolution (4-4-6) ended a seven-game winless streak, while FC Dallas (8-3-3) had a two-game winning streak broken.

Both goalkeepers, Matt Reis of New England and Dario Sala of FC Dallas, made six saves.

New England, which avenged an earlier 4-0 loss, is third in the Eastern Conference with 18 points to 35 for first-place D.C. United.

FC Dallas is first in the West with 27 points to 23 for second place Houston.
