MLB: Boston 10, Atlanta 7

ATLANTA, June 18 (UPI) -- The Boston Red Sox used a six-run eighth inning Sunday night to beat Atlanta, 10-7, completing a three-game, inter-league sweep.

David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez and Kevin Youkilis all belted home runs; Mike Lowell hit a two-run double; and Youkilis and Mark Loretta had two hits for the Red Sox (39-28), who have split their last six games.

In relief, the winning pitcher was Rudy Seanez (2-0). Jonathan Papelbon earned his 23rd save.

Jeff Francoeur hit a three-run homer and drove in four runs; Andruw Jones had two runs, three hits and two RBI; and Marcus Giles had two runs, three hits and one RBI for the Braves (30-40), who suffered their seventh straight loss.

Atlanta has 17 losses in its last 20 games and dropped into last place in the National League East.

The loser was reliever Macay McBride (1-1).
