MLB: San Diego 6, Milwaukee 5

MILWAUKEE, June 8 (UPI) -- Adrian Gonzalez and Vinny Castilla hit back-to-back home runs in the eighth inning Wednesday night as San Diego beat Milwaukee, 6-5.

Mike Piazza had two hits and drove in two runs; Eric Young had one run and three hits; and Josh Barfield had one hit and one RBI for the Padres (31-28), who broke a two-game skid.

With his home run, Gonzalez extended his career-high hitting streak to 15 games; while Castilla had two RBI.

Winner Scott Cassidy improved to 4-2.

Trevor Hoffman registered his 13th save.

Bill Hall and Brady Clark hit two-run homers; and Rickie Weeks had one run, two hits, and one RBI for the Brewers (28-32), who have lost nine times in their last 11 games.

Losing pitcher Matt Wise fell to 3-3 after blowing a save chance for the third time this season.
