MLB: LA Angels 7, Texas 6

ARLINGTON, Texas, May 24 (UPI) -- Kendry Morales collected three hits, including a 2-run home run, in his major-league debut during a 7-6 LA Angels of Anaheim victory over the Texas Rangers.

Morales hit his home run in the second inning while Vladimir Guerrero had one in the first and also drove in the game-winning run in the eighth Tuesday. Angels reliever Hector Carrasco (1-2) needed to get just one out to earn the victory while Francisco Cordero (3-3) gave up two runs in the eighth to take the loss.

Texas' Michael Young had put the Rangers up 6-5 with a 2-run home run in the seventh but the Angels got a sacrifice fly from Orlando Cabrera. Guerrero was credited with the final RBI as a run scored when Texas attempted a double play, only to have second baseman Mark DeRosa ruled off the bag while Adam Kennedy scored.

The Angels led 4-1 after Morales' home run but the Rangers tied the score on DeRosa's 3-run double. The Angels regained the lead in the sixth on Cabrera's run-scoring groundout.
