SAN DIEGO, May 14 (UPI) -- Khalil Greene had a homer and drove in four runs Sunday to help San Diego beat the Chicago Cubs, 9-0, for its fifth straight victory.
Josh Barfield had one run and three hits, while both Eric Young and Mike Piazza had one run and one hit for the Padres (22-16).
Brian Giles, who scored once, walked five times to tie a major league record for a nine-inning game.
Winner Clay Hensley (2-2) hurled his first complete game, giving up only two hits, walking one batter and striking out two.
Michael Barrett and Todd Walker had the only hits for the Cubs (15-22), who were swept in the three-game weekend series.
It was the first time in franchise history that the Cubs went winless against a National League team in a season. They lost all seven games against the Padres this year.
Losing pitcher Rich Hill dropped to 0-3.
