PITTSBURGH, May 13 (UPI) -- Jason Bay had two hits and knocked in four runs Friday night as Pittsburgh out-scored the Florida Marlins, 12-9.
Ronny Paulino, Freddy Sanchez and Jeromy Burnitz each had two RBI; while Nate McLouth had four runs, two hits and one RBI for the Pirates (11-25), who have won 10 of the last 11 games between the two teams in Pittsburgh.
In relief, the winner was Matt Capps (1-0), who blew a save opportunity in the eighth inning.
Mike Gonzalez earned his fifth save.
Mike Jacobs had two runs, two hits and two RBI; Josh Willingham had one run, three hits and one RBI; while both Dan Uggla and Hanley Ramirez had one run, three hits and one RBI with Ramirez extending his hitting streak to nine games for the Marlins (9-24), have lost six of their last seven contests.
Reliever Todd Wellemeyer fell to 0-2.
