SAN FRANSCISCO, Calif., May 11 (UPI) -- Jacque Jones had three hits, two runs and four RBI Wednesday night as the Chicago Cubs blasted San Francisco, 8-1.
Juan Pierre had a run and two hits; and Matt Murton had a hit and two runs for the Cubs (15-18), who broke an eight-game losing streak.

Winning pitcher Victor Zambrano (1-2) gave up one run and five hits in eight innings with five walks and six strikeouts.
Steve Finley had two hits and an RBI; and Omar Vizquel scored the lone run for the Giants (16-18), who have won only three times in their last eight games.
Loser Matt Cain (1-5) was tagged for eight runs and seven hits in 5 1/3 innings. He had two walks and two strikeouts.
