SAN FRANCISCO, May 10 (UPI) -- Jason Schmidt gave up five hits in pitching a complete game victory in the San Francisco Giants' 6-1 victory over the Chicago Cubs.

San Francisco's Barry Bonds did not hit a home run in Tuesday's game -- although one shot he hit was hauled in from over the fence by the Cubs' Juan Pierre -- and remained one home run behind Babe Ruth for second place on the all-time home run list.
