NHL: Detroit 3, St. Louis 2

ST. LOUIS, April 15 (UPI) -- Henrik Zetterberg scored with 8.9 seconds remaining Saturday night as the Detroit Red Wings beat the St. Louis Blues, 3-2.

Brendan Shanahan scored his 40th goal of the year for the Red Wings, giving him six 40-goal seasons in his career. Nicklas Lidstrom also scored for Detroit.

Shanahan and Lidstrom both reached the 80-point level for the season.

Chris Osgood stopped 37 shots for Detroit, which has already clinched the Presidents' Trophy for the best record in the National Hockey League.

Lee Stempniak had a goal and an assist for the Blues, who have lost three games in a row. Jamal Mayers also had a goal. Jason Bacashihua made 35 saves in the loss.
