CLEVELAND, April 13 (UPI) -- Raul Ibanez had four hits and four RBI Wednesday night in Seattle's 11-9 win at Cleveland.
Ichiro Suzuki added three hits and scored four runs; and Richie Sexson hit a grand slam for Seattle, which snapped a four-game losing streak. In his second start of the season, Mariners' starter Gil Meche gave up five runs on seven hits in four innings of work with four walks. Jake Woods (1-0) surrendered five runs and seven hits in jst four innings with four walks and one strikeout. Travis Hafner went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI while Casey Blake added three hits and knocked in four runs for the Indians (6-2), who had their six-game winning streak broken. Winner Paul Byrd (1-1) struggled in 3 2/3 innings, allowing six runs and seven hits with three walks and three strikeouts.
