NCAA: Florida 75, Villanova 62

MINNEAPOLIS, March 26 (UPI) -- Taurean Green and Joakim Noah starred in a second-half domination Sunday that pushed Florida into the Final Four with a 75-62 victory over Villanova.

Villanova's defeat set up a pair of NCAA Tournament national semifinal games without a single No. 1 seed.

Noah scored 21 points and Green had 19 as the Gators expanded on a five-point halftime lead and blunted every Villanova charge. Randy Foye paced Villanova with 25.

Florida (31-6) will meet the amazing George Mason Patriots in the first of next Saturday night's two semifinal games. UCLA and LSU -- who won their regional final games on Saturday -- will play the second game.

The Gators held Villanova to 18 field goals in 73 attempts -- and just four of 23 from three-point range. Florida shot 40 percent from the field and made 27 of 31 free throws.

If the NCAA national championship game turns out to be an all-Southeastern Conference match-up, Florida will have confidence on its side -- based on a 16-point win over LSU in the SEC Tournament semifinals.
