NBA: Denver 117, Seattle 104

DENVER, March 24 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony scored 35 points Friday night in helping Denver pull away in the second half for a 117-104 victory over Seattle.

Seattle attempted 24 three-point shots and made only four of them as the SuperSonics failed in their bid to win a second straight game. Seattle has won only 10 road contests this season.

Denver won its third straight, with Reggie Evans adding 22 points. Luke Ridnour led Seattle with 18 points.

The Nuggets are heading for a division title, having opened a seven-game lead over second-place Utah in the Northwest.
